State Farm commercial

State farm commercials are pretty much never realistic...thoughts??

  1. I think most of the state farm commercials are funny. No one can say "like a good neighbor state farm is there" then some one pops up. Then they definitely cant end the sentence with "with a new girl friend" or "hottub" and it'll be there. Agents arent magical. I guess they're trying to show that state farm agents can help you with anything? I meant clearly they cant change your boyfriend or girlfriends looks... But can help with even the worst car accidents?

  2. I think that the point of this commercial is to appeal to married couples who have the same issues as this couple does. The wife always knows she's right and the husband just wants her to stop yelling at him. I think this is very creative because this appeals to both the male and female sides of a relationship. This add shows how State Farm will be there for you whenever you need them and how they can get you what you want. Obviously a new girlfriend or boyfriend popping out of thin air isn't realistic but they are appealing to the Pathos side of advertising and getting the viewer to be emotionally attached to the woman or the man because the fight is something that could or has happened to the viewer in real life.

  3. This is amazing, I love their ads. I'm sure that this is how they hook people, with the unrealistic situations that they implement. You know it can never happen, but you'd be too busy laughing to care enough to miss the point. State Farm has their ads right, they have nothing to worry about in that field whatsoever.

  4. Great Commercial. This appeals to everyones fantacy of getting what you want. Statefarm uses this by singing a catchy jingle and then saying what you want and poof there it is. Most of there commercials are funny which gets the attention of younger people and they cover issues that older people might have gone through such as an accident similar to the one portrayed in this commercial.
